| Summary | This study is concerned with the design and economic justifications of a work cell for producing hotel keys. The various types of cell technology are identified and briefly explored .... A work cell was designed and it was predicted that labor and overhead costs could be reduced as could WIP. Recommendations for the cell's implementation were identified as were barriers to proper implementation. It was concluded that a manufacturing work cell could project Ilco-Unican into the future and assist the company in remaining ahead of its competition. |
