| Abstract | "This new Eleventh Edition of Neuroanatomy Atlas in Clinical Context continues to (1) provide a sound anatomical base for integrating neuroscience and clinical concepts; (2) introduce new text, artwork, and optical coherence tomography (OCT) that emphasize information and concepts that are encountered in the clinical setting; (3) utilize contemporary clinical and basic science terminology in its proper context; and (4) emphasize neuroscience information, concepts, and images that collectively constitute a comprehensive, and clinically oriented, overview of systems neurobiology. Further, the revision, in the Tenth Edition, of existing pages, the addition of new pages, and the division of Chapter 9 into a Herniation Part and a Stroke Part resulted in an increase in the number of MRI, MRA, CT, CTA, and angiograms representing a significant increase in clinically relevant examples. Understanding systems neurobiology is an absolutely essential element in the successful diagnosis of the neurologically compromised patient"-- Provided by publisher. |
