Abstract "This book is based on my original discovery of Charnoly body (CB) and illustrates basic molecular mechanism of mitochondrial quality control (MQC) and intracellular detoxification (ICD) by charnolophagy (CP) at the transcriptional and translational level for the targeted, safe, and effective personalized theranostics of neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, chronic pain, inflammation, drug addiction, MDR malignancies, and infectious diseases. The book confers unique strategies and guidelines for the targeted, safe, and effective personalized theranostics of afore-mentioned diseases involving compromised MQC due to functionally-impaired CP, destabilized CS, and IS activation, and its prevention. Diversified physicochemical injuries/insults (DPCI)-induced free radical overproduction trigger CB formation in the most vulnerable cells such as neural progenitor cells and cardiac progenitor cells, derived from induced pluripotent stem cells in the developing embryo. Free radicals are generated as a byproduct of mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation during ATP synthesis in the electron transport chain"-- Provided by publisher.
