Abstract "Among the versatile coatings available, graphene and biopolymers composites represent currently greener alternatives to anti-corrosive coatings. Graphene is a single layer of graphite with unique properties. Several investigations (electrochemical, engineering and surface) have been carried out to better understand the corrosion process in metals and alloys (in particular steel) and its control. The flexibility of graphene film or its oxide and variability to combine has a significant impact in corrosion protection. Nanocomposites of graphene provide an eco-friendly, strong and efficient inhibitor of corrosion. Biopolymers and organic films also provide promising and enhanced corrosion resistant technology"-- Provided by publisher.
