| Abstract | "Asian and European bees Apis cerana and Apis mellifera are very important for the development of our agriculture because they are main pollinators of the agricultural and other plants. These species is sisterly, distributed separately and subdivided into many subspecies. These species of bees are unique because they are nesting in tree trunk hollows therefore they are able to survive in cold climate conditions with long winters. The knowledges about their origin, taxonomic diversity and behavior are very significant for the successful managing and saving them. In addition, we investigated a very interesting question about the origin of current population of honey bees in the both Southern and Northern Americas. This book "Phylogenetics of bees" will help us to understand the honey bees and will allow to organize a friendly mutually beneficial cooperation"-- Provided by publisher. |
