Capt. Smith, late of Maryland, who has been a prisoner among the rebels ever since Nov. 1775, having lately escaped from them, the following is a sketch of his narrative or journal, which is so well authenticated, that it may be relied on : Narrative or journal of Capt. John Ferdinand Dalziel Smith, of the Queen's Rangers, taken prisoner by the rebels in 1775, lately escaped from them, and arrived here in the Daphne.
