General note"The number of deaths in Sandbornton, in the year 1798, (within 12 months) is 35--twenty-five adults, & ten children; 19 of this number were women--six of whom left infants. Among the many inflicted families, I shall mention one in particular, viz. Mr. Jeremiah Sandborn's;--he buried his wife, his sister (the widow Anna Coley) and his daughter, all of whom died of a fever. ..."
