General noteEvans attributes the calculations to Benjamin West, as he does those of nearly all almanacs issued under the Bickerstaff pseudonym. However, the calculations in the eclipse notes, and for the sun, moon, and tides in the calendar pages, are identical (except for some typographical errors in this edition) with those in Osgood Carleton's An astronomical diary: or, An almanack for 1792 (Boston: S. Hall). The wording of the eclipse predictions is practically identical. The notes on the calendar pages, though differing, correspond as often as not.
General noteAlso issued by Coverly as Weatherwise's genuine Massachusetts, New-Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode-Island, and Connecticutt [sic] almanack, with differences in the title page but otherwise identical in typography and contents.
General noteTwo states of the title page noted, differing only in that the order of the two relief cuts is reversed in the latter.
