General noteBy Osgood Carleton. The calculations on the calendar pages are identical with those in his An astronomical diary: or, An almanack for 1791 (Boston: S. Hall). The eclipse predictions (p. [2]) are also identical, except that only three of the four cuts in the Astronomical diary have been copied for the present almanac. The notes on the calendar pages are closely similar and frequently identical, except that the present almanac omits half of them, particularly the astronomical material.
