General noteIdentical in content and typography with An Astronomical diary or almanack for 1797 by Isaac Bickerstaff (Boston: same imprint). Calculated by Osgood Carleton. The calculations on the calendar pages and in the eclipse predictions duplicate those in Carleton's almanack for 1797 (Boston: S. Hall). The calendar page notes vary but contain frequent correspondences. Evans attributes the identical Bickerstaff issue, and consequently the present one as well, to Benjamin West, as he does nearly all almanacs issued under the Bickerstaff pseudonym.
General noteSignatures: A-B⁶.
