Abstract Collection contains genealogical notes on the Crutchfield family of Caroline County, Va., and Orange County, N.C. The major portion of the collection is made up of the articles of incorporation for the Hillsborough Historical Society and newsletters of that organization (1962-1965). The newsletters reflect the society's activities and historical events in Hillsborough and Orange County. Also included is a biographical sketch of Reverend Stubbins, his obituary, and leaflets on Hillsborough.

Biographical noteReverend Roland C. Stubbins (1885-1967) was a prominent Methodist minister of Hillsborough, N.C. He was active in historical and cultural affairs and was a member of the Hillsborough Historical Society and the Audubon Society.
