Scope and content This collection includes the papers (1941-1987) of Arlie George Capps, a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1941. It includes correspondence, a partial diary, a thesis, articles, military orders, citations, clippings, certificates, and photographs relating to his World War II service aboard the USS CUSHING, USS HUTCHINS, and USS NEWCOMB. This collection also includes materials relating to his civilian business career, 1954-1987.
